Join the Cathedral Organ Scholars on Thursday, 08 August 2019 as they present an evening of hymns, chant, and organ music across the Church’s liturgical seasons from Advent to Christmas, Lent to Easter.

Sing along to seasonal and well-known hymns such as O Come, all ye faithful; Jesus Christ is risen today, and All Creatures of our God and King.

Hear the glorious sounds of Singapore’s oldest pipe organ with favourites such as Craig Sellar Lang’s rousing Tuba Tune and Charles-Marie Widor’s thunderous Finale from his Organ Symphony No. 6.

All are welcome; admission is free.

Venue: Main Church, Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, ‘A’ Queen Street, Singapore 188533

The Cathedral Organ Scholar Programme was established in 2017 to train musicians to accompany Masses and devotions at the cathedral and other churches. The six scholars now serve at the lunch-time, weekend evenings, First Friday, and Archdiocesan Prayer Mission Masses. They also conduct and serve as section leaders in the evening choirs which sing weekly and at some of the feasts and solemnities throughout the year.
